What are the main equipment in the battery pack production line?

Now let's  us learn more about lithium ion battery pack assembly line.

Automated battery pack production line technology also plays an indispensable role in the square shell battery pack production line.

From the loading and positioning of the battery cells to the assembly and testing of the modules,

and then to the packaging of the entire pack, a series of complex processes are carried out in

an orderly manner under the precise operation of automated equipment.

The following are some main equipments of battery pack assembly line :

1. Battery cell sorting equipment

Battery cell testing equipment: used to detect the voltage, capacity, internal resistance and other performance indicators of the battery cell,

such as high-precision battery internal resistance tester, battery capacity tester, etc., so as to classify and screen the battery cells according

to these parameters to ensure that the battery cells in the same battery pack have similar performance.

Sorting robot: According to the battery cell test results, it can automatically grab the battery cells and place them

in the corresponding classification area to realize the automatic sorting and matching of the battery cells,

and improve production efficiency and sorting accuracy.

2.Battery cell assembly equipment

Sheet stacking machine: stacks and assembles positive and negative electrodes and diaphragms in a certain

order and process requirements to form a battery cell, ensuring the structural consistency and performance stability of the battery cell.

Battery cell banding machine: bandages and fixes the stacked battery cells to prevent the electrodes

and diaphragms from shifting, ensuring the stability of the battery cells during subsequent processing.

3.Welding equipment

laser welding machine: uses a high-energy-density laser beam to weld the connecting pieces and tabs

between the cells. It has the advantages of fast welding speed, high weld quality, and small heat-affected zone,

which can effectively improve the electrical connection performance and reliability of the battery pack.

Ultrasonic welding machine: Ultrasonic vibration generates friction heat between the welded parts to achieve welding.

It is suitable for some occasions that require welding speed, and can quickly complete the welding of the battery cell

and the connecting piece, etc., and the welding strength is high.Battery Spot Welding Machine: It is mainly used to

connect the conductive parts of lithium battery components to each other, such as spot welding the battery cell and the nickel sheet, etc.

It has the characteristics of precision and accuracy, can ensure the quality and stability of the welding point,

and ensure the normal conductivity of the battery.

4.Battery Management System Installation Equipment

Automated BMS Integration Equipment: It can accurately install the circuit board of the battery

management system (BMS) on the battery pack, and perform line connection and debugging to ensure that the electrical

connection between the BMS and the battery pack is correct, and realize real-time monitoring and effective management of the battery pack.

5.Packaging equipment

Pack assembly equipment: Assemble the battery module with the shell,

including placing the battery module into the shell, fixing screws, installing seals, etc., to achieve the overall packaging of the battery pack.

Sealing equipment: Seal the shell of the battery pack to prevent dust, moisture, etc. from entering

the battery pack and affecting the performance and life of the battery. Glue sealing, hot melt sealing, etc. are usually used.

6.Auxiliary equipment

Raw material storage equipment: used to store raw materials and parts such as battery cells,

connectors, shells, circuit boards, etc., to ensure that the storage environment of raw materials

meets the requirements and is convenient for use during the production process.

Weighing equipment: In the process of batching, the raw materials are weighed accurately

to ensure that the amount of various raw materials meets the process requirements and

the performance consistency of the battery pack is guaranteed.Nickel sheet bending machine: bend

the nickel sheet according to the design requirements to better adapt to the internal structure and electrical

connection requirements of the battery pack, improve production efficiency and the accuracy of nickel sheet use.

Automated packaging equipment: automatically package the produced battery pack, Including shell assembly,

logo attachment, shockproof and moisture-proof packaging, etc.,

to improve packaging efficiency and quality, and protect the safety of the battery pack during transportation and storage.
